What material should I choose for a cat bowl?

We recommend using feeding bowls made from two materials: stainless steel and ceramic bowls.

Metal bowls are robust, easy to clean, and shatterproof. However, their disadvantage is that they produce a clinking noise that can deter animals.

Ceramic bowls are easy to clean, are not damaged by water, do not absorb odors, do not rattle, and can often be heated in the microwave.

How often should you clean a cat's food and water bowls?
