Questions and answers at a glance
Which bowl is best suited for a cat?
The cat bowl should have a large diameter and low sides.
It is very important that it is not narrow and deep, so that the whiskers do not get caught when eating or drinking.
A round or oval bowl with a wide or spherical base is most comfortable for a cat.
What material should I choose for a cat bowl?
We recommend using feeding bowls made from two materials: stainless steel and ceramic bowls.
Metal bowls are robust, easy to clean, and shatterproof. However, their disadvantage is that they produce a clinking noise that can deter animals.
Ceramic bowls are easy to clean, are not damaged by water, do not absorb odors, do not rattle, and can often be heated in the microwave.
How often should you clean a cat's food and water bowls?
The cat's food bowls should be cleaned after every meal: simply rinse with water and dry with a towel.
You can clean the water bowl twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, when you fill it with fresh water for your pet.
What size food bowl should I choose for kittens?
Choose a suitable food bowl for your kitten as it grows. Make sure it's the right size for adult cats.
Suitable bowls have a volume of 200 ml to 450 ml and a diameter of at least 12 cm.
