Collection: Dog houses

If the dog does not sleep in the doghouse, it may be unsuitable:

1) Location: Drafts or, conversely, heat. Uncomfortable rooms where the main living area is not visible.

2) Size: The dog may feel too cramped in the doghouse and may not be able to turn around properly and lie down comfortably.

The dog should be able to sit in the doghouse without touching the ceiling. The doghouse should be large enough for the dog to stretch out completely. If it can only curl up, the doghouse is too small.

Positive associations with the new doghouse are the key to success.

• Place a blanket and your dog's favorite toys in the kennel.
• Give your dog time to explore the new sleeping place: He should sniff everything thoroughly and get used to it.
• Use the word "place" before your dog enters the doghouse.
• Reward the dog with treats when he goes into the doghouse on his own and lies down to rest.
• Never force a dog into the house if it doesn't want to, and don't scold it.

• Choose a doghouse model. For dogs sensitive to the cold, we recommend houses or sleeping areas with fleece or fur lining. If your dog likes to hide, a wooden house with a soft mattress is ideal – he will feel safe and calm inside.
• The materials should feel pleasant, be high-quality and safe.
• Ease of maintenance. It is desirable that the structure can be easily disassembled and cleaned.
• The right size. The doghouse shouldn't be too small.
